We are lucky. We live in a magical place for vineyards at 970 m above sea level. A Páramo with steppe areas near the oak, holm oak and pine forests of Serrezuela. A true reservoir of biodiversity.
We cultivate with the utmost respect, in an ecological way, about 30 hectares of Tinta del País' own vineyard.
We have grafted the buds of the best old vineyards in the area into our vineyard. Places such as Derramaderos, Hoyadas, Quejigada or Motocón give us their uniqueness.
The Páramo de Corcos is a land of extremes. Contrast is the key, between day and night, between summer and winter, they leave us with variations of more than 20º in a day, which give our wines great personality and longevity.
Precipitation barely exceeds 400 mm annually.
Our vineyard has loamy soil – sandy, alluvial, with pebbles on the surface, good drainage and very deep.
We take care of our soils every year with compost matured by us for 1 year following the guidelines of biodynamic agriculture.
